Fire Ants on the March

In my walks around Austin, I've noticed mounds of soil appear overnight. I figured that Austin's famous fire ants had bailed out of their burrows to avoid drowning. It turns out that temperate, wet weather in the Spring and Fall are conducive to their brooding.
